2009 has come to an end, and looking over the past 12 months, there have been many fashions and styles. Lots of people pay attention to styles of the year to “fit in” but stay away from all the fashion “no-no’s” in order to build a good reputation as the most stylish or trendy. Be careful when it comes to fashion though, it’s always changing, for example, one day flip-flops are in, and the next it’s Ugg boots. Keep up this year with this recap on 2009 fashion.
Snuggie came into the picture and some people buy and use them. The zebra snuggie however is just a big fat “no-no!” Even though many people wear zebra and think that they are so cool, zebra is ugly and if anyone who has one of those full colored zebra shirts needs to find the trash, and immediately throw it away. Way too many people have the same thing, and it’s not something anybody ought to wear.
Pay attention to colors. Bright, bold colors match. Don’t wear black with brown, its definite a “no-no.” Black and brown are what monks wear, and in case anyone is wondering, “They’re not stylish!” So, be very careful with these colors, because if someone wears the wrong colors together, everyone knows it and they’re straight out of luck.
Ugg boots are still really popular among teens. Even though they were in style a while back, many girls wear them still; therefore, they made the list of 2009 fashion. Sweatshirts with jeans were also something people wore a lot. Skinny jeans were usually worn with the boots, but skinny jeans were also worn with ballet flats. Really ripped jeans were in too. When walking down the hall, one couldn’t help but notice all the rips and holes up the jeans of nearly everyone.
Tops this year, Thermal and graphic tees were in, also scarves were worn with them. Scarves were really a big part of 2009 fashion and will carry on into the 2010 year; make a special note of that.
Some fashion “don’ts”. Do not wear jeans with skirts, big “no-no.” Leggings with skirts are SO last year. Avoid wearing big baggy sweatshirts at all costs, look for fitted sweatshirts, they look better. The only exception to this rule would be if anyone’s boyfriend gives them his to keep warm. That’s just sweet; no one can make fun of that.
Even though 2009 has come to an end, the winter is here, some new trendy ways to keep warm is to wear a pea coat with a scarf or something. Pea coats are crawling their way into the fashion world and they are super cute!
So every girl needs to keep her eyes open for that fashion trend going around, no one wants to miss it. Happy New Year and keep up with the new fashion “Do’s” and “Don’ts.”
